At Capitol Chiropractic Health Center, we take great pride in providing the finest chiropractic wellness care to our patients. Below is a sampling of the different chiropractic services we offer in our Springfield office.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic Care

A chiropractic adjustment, sometimes called manipulation, is a precise procedure in which a Doctor of Chiropractic delivers a specific corrective pressure at a specific joint on the body. An adjustment is performed after an examination reveals a joint is not functioning properly.  It is applied to correct joint misalignments, restore joint mobility, relieve associated muscle tension and nerve pressure, improve balance, and assist healing.  In our office most adjustments are performed manually. As  Doctors of Chiropractic, Dr. Imhoff, Dr. Oliver, and Dr. Kevin have years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.

Rehabilitative Exercises

Rehabilitative Exercises

Specific rehabilitative exercise protocols are given to each patient in order to build strength and support the muscles, facilitate healing and prevent recurrence of your specific condition..

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology is a form of diagnosis using muscle testing to examine how a person's body is functioning.   In general, the applied kinesiologist finds a muscle that tests weak and then attempts to determine why that muscle is not functioning properly.  The doctor will then evaluate and apply the therapy that will best eliminate the muscle weakness and restore function..

Nutritional Counseling

Nutritional Counseling

Vitamins, minerals, enzymes and various other types of nutritional supplements are often necessary to facilitate the healing process and help restore chemical balance.  Our patients receive appropriate supplements and dietary modifications to aid in the restoration of their health.  Many conditions such as digestive disorders, allergies, high blood pressure, insomnia, anxiety, depression, back pain, sprains and strains, headaches, and arthritis respond well to nutrition therapy.  Our office utilizes state of the art diagnosis to help determine the most appropriate protocol for each patient.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a health science which is used in the treatment of pain, to promote natural healing, and to improve body function.   The classical chinese principles of acupuncture involves the evaluation of channels that course through the body.  These channels of energy, called meridians, are normally balanced and provide communication from the exterior to the internal structures and nourishes the tissue  in the body.  When energy flow through the meridians is disrupted or blocked the entire system can be altered, producing pain or symptoms in the body.  The goal of acupuncture is to restore normal function to the body's energy system by stimulating a combination of acupoints located on the meridians.
